What is Internet?

Internet is a network connection that able to connect globally as it using Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) / Internet Protocol (IP) to transferring data via media. 

Internet Protocol (IP) is communication protocol that helps a computer to send data from one computer to another. Everyday computer has it own IP address as it can be recognize from other computer on the internet.

WWW
World Wide Web is the combination of all resource and the users on the internet in using the HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol)

with WWW it can access to webpages through web browser, the web browsers are programme that display text, data, pictures, animation and video on the internet. Most common web browsers are Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari. 

There are two types of internet computers.

> Servers

 

This is specialized computers that store and share information to other servers for making it available for public.

> Browsers

This when WWW mostly are used to access by using web browsers like Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

* Using internet, World Wide Website or WWW is the most used in the internet. This WWW is able to get you from one page to another. *


Types of Internet

1) Wired Internet

This is the common and the fastest form of connection for the internet. Ranged from phones lines (DSL) to fiber optic cables and so that's why mostly the wires are set up. 

* DSL is Digital Subscriber Line is a high speed internet services that competes with cables and other from broadband *

2) Satellite Internet

The satellite dish that no need wired connections to connect the internet. This will be the second fastest as its a bit slower than the wired internet depends on the range.

3) Cellular Internet

This is the cell towers connections that already connected to wires and the internet. More or less, its like the WAP only for cell phones or data enabled devices.

* WAP is wireless application protocol is a standard for accessing information over a mobile wireless network *

How the Internet operates?

The intern operates as its a global network connection that able connects computers. This is because having a unique address ( in the form of nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn) which its a number from 0 - 255

Setting up an internet 

These are the ways to steps to set up an internet modem.

1) Locating Modem - locate your modem in your area that receive strongest connection. 

2) Connect to coax wall outlet -  Connect with a good quality cable to optimize your connection.

3) Adapter plugging -Make sure to connect with the electrical outlet.

4) Setting - Set your WIFI names & passwords
